The Music Academy felicitated Sangita Kalanidhi T.K. Murthy on 25th December 2023 on his stepping into his 100th year a few months ago. Academy President N. Murali honoured the maestro with a shawl and a special memento, at a brief function described as “an extraordinary and once in a lifetime event”. It preceded the second academic session held at the Kasturi Srinivasan Hall in the morning on Christmas day, when vidwan T.K. Murthy (along with his disciples) presented a lecdem on “Knowledge, Pedagogy and Practice of his Guru the late maestro Tanjore Vaidyanatha Iyer.
